Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Where are you guys located?
A. 1639 E. Apache Blvd. We're on the southside of Apache just west of McClintock. In the old Firehouse building. We're in Tempe. We love Tempe.

Q. What are your hours?
A. Right now we're open 10:30am - 2am Monday - Saturday and 11am - 2am on Sunday.

Q. What's the parking situation?
A. Well we have a pretty big back lot - but on weekends it tends to fill up pretty quick. Across the street there's a fabric shop that closes around 5 and you can park in their lot (It's okay, we talked to them, they're cool with it). But whatever you do, please DO NOTpark next door at the Regent Apartments. People live there and you can imagine how annoying it is to come home after a long day of work to have your parking spot taken. So be cool man, park in our lot - or park across the street. Or better yet - hop the light rail and come on down. It's good for you.

Q. I'm in a totally awesome band. How can I play there?
A. Shoot Jack Maverik an email at booking@longwongstempe.com . Please include your band name, a place where we can listen to some tunes, where you normally play, your average draw, etc. and I'm sure we can work something out. Remember - we're a small club, so please leave Johnny Halfstack at home. FYI - All Sonicbids submissions will be deleted. That website is a scam. Don't get involved.

Q. So, like, the Tempe Long Wongs is freaking famous. Are you guys the same Long Wongs?
A. The story goes something like this. In 1980 the Goldsteins opened the Long Wongs on Mill Avenue in downtown Tempe. In 1989 they sold that franchise to Scott and Cheri Magill, and that location was managed and booked by Sara Cina until it's unfortunate and untimely demise in 2004. The founders are involved in this location, but the Magills and Sara Cina are currently involved in Teakwoods, a great valley bar and restaurant. They are not involved with this location. We hope to continue the tradition of Long Wongs on Mill with great food, cold drinks and live music.
